Underwriting Specialist (Healthcare Practices), Liberty Mutual Insurance
Liberty Mutual Insurance is looking to fill its healthcare practice team within its national insurance specialty division. The specialist will help write workers’ compensation, auto, general liability, and mid-sized property for all program structures. The underwriting specialist will also be called on to coach other underwriters in both technical and professional skills. At least eight years of commercial lines underwriting experience is preferred. More details here.
Underwriting Specialist (National Insurance Property), Liberty Mutual Insurance
Liberty Mutual is also hiring underwriting specialists for its national insurance property team. The specialist will analyze a company’s exposures, hazards, financial ratios, commercial property insurance coverage, loss history, pricing targets, and desired program structure in order to recommend whether to proceed with an account. Applicants must have “advanced-level knowledge” of insurance products/coverage, underwriting, pricing, risk selection, and so on. Insurance Actuary, Connecticut Department of Insurance
The Department of Insurance of the state of Connecticut is hiring an insurance actuary for its actuarial division. The actuary will support the major P&C functions of the actuarial division in financial analysis, field exams, NAIC committees, and other product management support. Actuaries will also review the annual actuarial opinions and actuarial reports, ORSA, capital modeling, and so on. Applicants must have at least 10 years of experience serving as an actuary with an insurance company or another insurance regulator. More details here.
Insurance Examiner, State of Ohio
The state of Ohio has four openings for insurance examiner roles. The examiner will perform in-house or on-site examinations of insurance companies (both domestic and international) operating in Ohio to determine their solvency. The examiner will also determine if the insurers are complying to state statutes and regulations. Applicants must have the Accredited Financial Examiner designation, as well as at least three years of accounting experience. More details here.
Workers’ Compensation Specialist, State of Colorado
The state of Colorado is hiring to fill a compliance insurance specialist role. Working under the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS), the specialist will serve as an intermediary between employees, the Department of Personnel and Administration, payroll, PERA, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators to resolve issues and facilitate claims processing. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in human resources/risk management/safety public administration/any closely related field. More details here.
