The Mutual Group (formally known as TMG Insurance Services, LLC) has appointed Brett Humphrey (pictured) as senior vice president and chief financial officer.

Humphrey brings close to two decades of global financial services leadership experience to his new role at the integrated insurance operations platform for the mutual industry.

The key hire’s career includes nine years at American International Group where he held senior positions in New York and Japan, most recently as vice president, separation finance.

Before AIG, Humphrey led actuarial and finance at Aegon Sony Life Insurance and served as CFO at Hartford Life Japan.

At The Mutual Group, he will help the company expand its member base and deliver exceptional capabilities and results to its mutual insurance company members.

Tim Fleming, chief executive of The Mutual Group, noted: “Brett’s strong track record of success in both growing organizations and operational excellence makes him a great addition to The Mutual Group leadership team.

“We are excited to welcome him to the team as we continue to build our platform and bring our innovative offerings to the mutual insurance industry.”
