The Liberty Company Insurance Brokers has brought in Joe Clark (pictured) as president of the Liberty Select division.
The key hire brings decades of extensive insurance industry experience, which began after Clark’s service in the Navy. His career launched at New York Life, followed by a 10-year tenure at a Nationwide Insurance Agency in Philadelphia where he significantly advanced personal lines and financial services.
Clark’s credentials also include time spent at Willis where he advanced from a local post to regional leader, and eventually senior vice president of sales and marketing on a national level. In 2017 he became chief growth officer at Aon Private Risk Management where he co-led his unit to substantial success in the private client insurance sector.
In his new role at Liberty, Clark will oversee the Select division, which includes personal lines, private client, and small commercial insurance.
“Joe is a visionary leader who shares our values, has tremendous experience, and brings an incredible network of relationships to our organization,” chief executive Bill Johnson noted. “We look forward to continuing to grow and prosper under his leadership of our Liberty Select segment.”
Expressing his enthusiasm about the new position, Clark stated: “The vibrant entrepreneurial spirit and strong personal connection with founder and CEO, Bill Johnson, drew me in. Liberty’s commitment to innovation and core values resonates deeply with my personal and professional philosophy.
“I look forward to contributing to a company poised to make a significant impact in the industry.”
The appointment comes on the heels of Katie Pope and Peter Barsky’s arrival to serve as vice presidents of executive lines and small commercial practice, respectively. The company also recently expanded its network by partnering with Ayres Brackfield Insurance in Knoxville, Tennessee.
