The Liberty Company Insurance Brokers (Liberty) has brought in two additions to its leadership team – Neal Rubin (pictured) as senior vice president for benefits and Andrew Bernau as SVP and commercial lines producer.
Rubin joins Liberty with an impressive track record spanning more than 40 years in the employee benefits sector of Southern California. His credentials include seven years spent as vice president at a benefits solutions specialist.
At Liberty, Rubin will lead marketing and sales efforts, focusing on creating customized solutions that enhance client satisfaction and promote employee retention.
“I was drawn to the organization’s forward-thinking ethos and commitment to empowering producers with comprehensive support,” Rubin noted.
“In our competitive industry, it’s crucial that we not only understand market dynamics but also have the resources to back up our promises. Liberty’s dedication to innovation and its robust back-office infrastructure provide the ideal environment to thrive and deliver exceptional results.”
Bernau, meanwhile, brings nearly two decades of insurance industry experience to Liberty. His previous roles involved relationships across sectors such as private equity, marine, security, hospitality & dining, breweries, and logistics.
Commenting on his decision to join Liberty, Bernau said: “From my very first encounter with Liberty, it was clear to me the paramount importance placed on cultivating a vibrant culture and upholding unwavering values.
“The energy and passion radiating from every interaction underscored the commitment to excellence in serving clients and supporting one another. Liberty’s dedication to fostering an environment where everyone thrives resonated deeply with me, aligning perfectly with my own core values and leadership style.”
Last month, Liberty tapped Christopher Orozco to serve as an employee benefits producer. Other hires earlier this year include Tim Collins (vice president, employee benefits producer), Jules Gootrad (business development specialist for benefits), and Rick Donatini (employee benefits VP).
