The Hilb Group (THG) continues to cement its position in New England with the acquisition of Marsh-Kemp Insurance Agency (MK) in Massachusetts.
Established in 1912, MK offers a range of personal and commercial insurance options, and, following the acquisition, MK agency leader Thomas McLear will continue to lead MK’s associates out of the existing locations in Worcester and Auburn.
“MK’s long standing commitment to their clients and consistent growth strongly resonates with THG,” said THG CEO Ricky Spiro, who added that he looks forward to the opportunities that lie ahead with “another strong New England-based agency” joining the agency.
“As our agency evolves, the needs and desires of our clients change as well,” commented McLear. “This new chapter provides growth opportunities for our employees and further expands our ability to serve our clients. We are very excited about joining the THG team.”
Earlier this year, THG also acquired two other firms in the New England region: H.J. Knight International Insurance and Aoisio Insurance Associates.
