Stephens Insurance has announced changes to its leadership with the appointment of Korosh Saba (pictured left) as president and chief executive officer and Lizzie Phillips Sanford (pictured right) as chief strategy officer.

The move comes as part of a larger leadership transition within the Arkansas-based brokerage and its parent organization. Miles Stephens, former CEO of Stephens Insurance, was recently named co-CEO of Stephens Inc.

Stephens Insurance’s new president and CEO

Saba previously served as senior vice president of Stephens Insurance. His tenure at the brokerage began in 2019 after spending time at the power and industrial technology group within Stephens’ investment banking division.

In a press release, Stephens called Saba an “exceptional leader who consistently provides outstanding client service.”

“His insight, work ethic, and guidance have proven invaluable to clients, Stephens Insurance professionals, and the broader firm,” Stephens said. “I am incredibly proud of Korosh and am confident he will excel as president and CEO of Stephens Insurance.”

Saba initially joined Stephens Insurance in 2011 when he became part of its equity research department. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and is an honors graduate from the University of Arkansas.

Expanding ability to address client needs

The leadership shakeup at Stephens Insurance also includes Sanford’s new role as chief strategy officer.

Sanford was named chief information officer of Stephens Insurance in 2019. Prior to this, she founded Rock Analytics, a firm specializing in data visualization solutions.

“Lizzie has been an integral part of our team for more than five years and has demonstrated a great capacity for data driven results,” said Stephens. “She has a uniquely diverse background in analytics and economics that brings together different data points to show a new side of challenges and opportunities.”

Sanford was also director and senior economist at Keybridge in Washington, D.C. She holds an MPA in economics and health policy from Princeton University and is a graduate of Rhodes College.

Stephens Insurance is one of several businesses operating as part of Stephens, a family-owned investment firm headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansans. The brokerage has built a significant presence in the mid-South through its offices in Little Rock, Fayetteville, Houston, Dallas, Birmingham, and Jackson.
