Starwind Specialty Insurance Services, a division of CRC Group, has announced the launch of a new environmental unit.
The environmental unit aims to position Starwind at the forefront of market trends by addressing the growing demand for specialized environmental insurance products.
These products will cater to the evolving needs of the marketplace, the company said. The unit will also focus on enhancing profitability in underwriting while fostering sustainable growth and innovation within the company.
Starwind has appointed Mike Padula (pictured right) to head the new environmental unit, an industry veteran with extensive experience in the environmental sector.
Padula brings over 25 years of expertise in environmental risks, with a diverse background spanning environmental consulting, claims management, and underwriting.
“I’m excited to join the Starwind team and contribute to their vision of delivering cutting-edge solutions. The focus on innovation and flexibility, combined with Starwind’s commitment to excellence, makes this an incredible opportunity,” said Padula.
Before joining Starwind, Padula led US environmental operations at a specialty insurance and reinsurance firm.
“Bringing Mike on board reinforces our commitment to building a strong foundation for Starwind’s future,” said Starwind Specialty president Brian Norman. “His proven success in specialty business and his depth of expertise will be critical as we drive innovation and strengthen our competitiveness in the environmental sector.”
