Starwind Specialty Insurance Services, which is part of CRC Group, has introduced four insurance programs aimed at addressing specific industry risks.
The new offerings – Starwind Environmental, Starwing PVT (Political Violence & Terrorism), Starwind Equipment, and Starwind Cannabis — are intended to support retail brokers with specialized coverage options for their clients.
“As Starwind Specialty continues to grow, our mission remains clear — to deliver cutting-edge underwriting solutions that help our broker partners stand out in a competitive marketplace,” said Brian Norman, president of Starwind Specialty. “Each new program represents deep expertise, customized coverage, and a relentless focus on solving real-world risks.”
Starwind Environmental, led by Program President Mike Padula, will provide coverage for a range of environmental exposures. The program is intended for contractors, property owners, and environmental service providers. Available products include Contractors Pollution Liability (CPL), Contractors Pollution and Professional Liability (CPPL), Site Pollution Liability (SPL), Transportation Pollution Liability (TPL), and Environmental Excess Liability (EXL).
Starwind PVT, overseen by Program President Chris Kirby, will offer coverage for terrorism, active assailant incidents, and workplace violence. Available exclusively to CRC brokers, the product includes protection beyond TRIA/TRIPRA, covering physical damage, business interruption, and liability linked to violent events.
Meanwhile, Starwind Equipment, led by Program President Randi Glazer, provides Property Damage Insurance (PDI) and Extended Service Contracts (ESC) for heavy construction equipment at the point of sale. The program is structured to assist clients with asset protection and financial continuity.
And finally, Starwind Cannabis, managed by Program President Tony McIntosh, offers insurance solutions for businesses in the cannabis industry. Coverage includes crop and property protection, as well as Workers’ Compensation and Inland Marine options, geared toward brokers operating in a non-standard market.
“These new program launches exemplify what makes Starwind Specialty so powerful within the CRC Underwriting family — speed to market, deep specialization, and an unwavering commitment to our retail partners,” said Bill Goldstein, CEO of CRC Underwriting. “Starwind’s specialist teams understand their industries inside and out, enabling them to craft smarter, more effective coverage solutions that drive results for our clients.”
