Starkweather & Shepley Insurance Brokerage (S&S) has announced that Elizabeth Lowe has been elected to join its board of directors.
A release noted that Lowe, president of Customer House Risk Advisors (CHRA), is the first female on the board in the company’s history. As president of CHRA, she leads Starkweather’s Real Estate Risk Solutions – the brokerage’s practice group dedicated to assisting real estate investment trusts, private equity investment firms, and other large real estate owners, managers and developers.
“I am honored and humbled by the opportunity to serve on and be a part of such a prestigious board that is both rich in history and full of progress and potential,” Lowe said in a statement.
Before joining S&S, Lowe served as a senior risk management consultant at Robert M. Currey & Associates of Boston, MA for more than seven years. She is a licensed insurance advisor, and is a member of the Commercial Real Estate Development Association and the Massachusetts & Federal Bars.
She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware and is a cum laude graduate from Suffolk Law School in Boston, MA.
Earlier this year, S&S opened a new location in Virginia Beach, VA. The new office is led by senior vice president and national marine practice group leader Christopher Burns.
