Send Technology Solutions Ltd, a UK-based insurtech firm, has joined the Wholesale and Specialty Insurance Association (WSIA), a trade group representing insurers, brokers, and underwriters in the wholesale and specialty insurance market in the United States.

The company said that it views this membership as a means to deepen its engagement with the US insurance sector and better understand the challenges facing underwriters in the market.

WSIA provides its members with resources to enhance their competitive standing in the insurance industry, offering tools, training, and opportunities to engage with evolving digital trends. Send announced plans to contribute to this mission, focusing on solutions that align with WSIA’s emphasis on digital transformation in the US market.

Andy Moss (pictured above), Send’s CEO and co-founder, expressed the company’s enthusiasm for joining the association.

“WSIA is positioned as the only association serving the entirety of the wholesale, specialty and surplus lines industry. We’re keen to take every opportunity to learn from the market and continue to tailor our Underwriting Workbench to directly meet the needs of our customers,” Moss said.

Send also announced plans to participate in the 2025 WSIA Underwriting Summit, which will take place March 9-12 in Phoenix, Ariz. The company said that it aims to engage with industry members during the event and contribute to discussions on adapting to digital advancements in underwriting.

A few months ago, the association also appointed Michael Garrison and Lou Levinson to its board of directors to replace Henry Lopez and Janet Jordan-Foster, respectively.

Garrison of Navigators, a brand of The Hartford, is stepping in to complete Lopez’s unfinished term after the latter retired from the same firm and resigned from the WSIA board. Levinson, meanwhile, takes over for Jordan-Foster, who left the board following her departure from AXIS Insurance.

The appointments were made by WSIA board chair Brenda (Ballard) Austenfeld with the help of the nominating committee.
