RLI has announced a partnership with Gridiron Insurance Underwriters, allowing Gridiron to offer RLI’s excess liability binding authority insurance.
Gridiron will offer the product through Easy Excess – the program manager’s own dedicated online wholesale excess liability portal. The coverage is available on a non-admitted basis in all states except New York.
Easy Excess enables appointed producers to quote, bind, and issue excess liability policies designed for small commercial businesses in real time. The liability coverage on the platform is available to 400 business classes, and can be bundled with general liability, liquor, auto, and employers’ liability.
A release said that the policies will be underwritten by Mt. Hawley Insurance, a surplus lines subsidiary of RLI Insurance Company. Mt. Hawley Insurance has an A+ (Superior) rating from A.M. Best.
Following the partnership, Easy Excess will replace Mt. Hawley’s existing eXS product.
“This partnership will give customers the same great coverage and service they have come to expect from RLI with the added benefit of Gridiron’s technology,” commented RLI vice-president of casualty brokerage Dennis Drees.
