Relation Insurance Services completed its acquisition of the assets of Forest Insurance Agency on Dec. 1.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Tim Hall, Relation Insurance’s chief executive since 2023, said Forest Insurance will bring its connections and expertise in providing comprehensive insurance solutions to its clients.
Illinois-based Forest Insurance specializes in personal and business insurance. Dan Browne, the company’s president, welcomed the acquisition, adding that Relation Insurance will help the company enhance its product offerings.
“Becoming part of Relation allows us to enhance the level of service we provide to our clients,” he said. “With Relation’s deep expertise and extensive carrier network, our clients gain access to tailored coverage options that align with their needs.”
Browne will continue managing Forest Insurance as part of Relation.
The company said it is actively seeking partnerships to expand its offerings, expertise and geographic footprint.
To aid this goal, it appointed Brandon YoungFountain as head of mergers and acquisitions in November. He will be responsible for overseeing the company’s M&A initiatives nationally.
Commenting on YoungFountain’s appointment then, Hall said that his M&A experience is invaluable to the company as it continues to grow and expand its business.
“I am eager to work with the talented team here to identify and execute strategic opportunities that will drive growth and create value for our clients and stakeholders,” YoungFountain said.
Prior to the Forest Insurance deal, Relation said that it had acquired the assets of California-based Business Aviation Insurance Services, which focuses on aviation insurance, for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition adds “tremendous value” to Relation’s aircraft owner and operator clients, Hall said.
Other acquisitions made last year included: assets of SFBAG Employee Benefit Insurance Services and Whitney Oaks Insurance Services, both based in California, as well as assets of Maryland-based Haney Company and South Carolina-based Carolina Heritage Insurance.
