Relation Insurance Services has acquired the assets of True-Course Aviation Insurance Services Inc., an aviation-focused insurance brokerage based in Camarillo, California.
The transaction took effect on March 31, 2025. Terms were not disclosed.
True-Course provides insurance services to aviation-related clients, including aircraft manufacturers, flight schools, and corporate aviation operators. As part of the acquisition, owner Alejandro Galioto will remain with the business and lead the development of Relation’s aviation practice.
“Partnering with Relation gives our clients the opportunity to access all the insurance resources they need in one place,” Galioto said. “Relation's extensive in-house expertise and wide network of carrier relationships provides our clients with new options to mitigate risk and enhance their overall insurance programs.”
Relation CEO Tim Hall said the deal aligns with the company’s strategy of expanding into specialty markets. He said Galioto will guide the aviation practice’s strategic direction and lead efforts to grow the business and build a dedicated team focused on aviation risk.
The True-Course acquisition is the latest in a series of transactions by Relation aimed at expanding its presence in both specialty and regional markets.
In August 2024, Relation acquired the assets of Carolina Heritage Insurance, a firm that focuses on high-net-worth personal lines and is based in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Owners John Alagna and Cara Crouch continued to lead the office following the acquisition.
Alagna said the decision to join Relation was based on the need to provide clients with broader resources and carrier access.
Meanwhile, Relation has also acquired the assets of First Insurance, an affiliate of FirstBank Inc., which is based in Durant, Oklahoma. Dina Wagner continued to manage the company’s Durant office. The transaction took effect on April 1, 2024.
First Insurance offers a range of coverage options, including commercial, personal, farm and ranch, and manufacturing.
Financial details of both acquisitions were not disclosed.
