Rate Insurance, LLC (formerly Guaranteed Rate) today announced the appointment of Mitchell Brown as the new vice president of commercial insurance.

In his new role. Brown will oversee Rate Insurance’s commercial sales division to expand the company’s product portfolio and expertise within niche commercial markets.

He brings with him nearly 15 years of experience in insurance and risk management.

Executive vice president and head of insurance Jeff Wingate said that Brown’s appointment aligns with the company’s commitment to invest in innovative and high-performing teams to better serve clients across diverse commercial sectors.

"Mitch's extensive experience, coupled with his track record of driving industry-leading results, makes him the ideal choice to help us build our commercial insurance footprint nationwide," he said.

Brown’s career encompasses diverse roles across the insurance industry, including retail, wholesale, carrier, and aggregation sectors.

An Army veteran, Brown served in key leadership positions within an infantry platoon during multiple tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, and South Korea. His military service earned him three Bronze Stars, a Purple Heart, and multiple commendations.

As the author of “The Ultimate Advantage: Your Guide to Winning in Commercial Insurance,” Brown is known for his innovative approach to business. His extensive experience in several insurance agencies nationwide allowed him to implement advanced technology solutions to optimize sales strategies and develop business structures.

Brown’s appointment is part of Rate Insurance’s efforts to reinvent itself to sustain growth in line with its objective to be a top 50 national insurance broker, following its rebranding effort earlier this year.

Rate Insurance, founded in 2008 and owned by Guaranteed Rate, operates in all 50 states.
