QBE North America has announced the appointment of Bobby Steinsdoerfer as senior vice president and regional underwriting leader for its Central Region and Lucas Prahl as senior vice president and regional underwriting leader for its Western Region.

Prahl joined QBE in 2017 and has 16 years of industry experience in both underwriting and reinsurance brokerage. Since 2019, he has served as the P&C-retail underwriting leader for the company’s Central Region. Prahl’s move to the Western Region coincides with the transfer of Texas from the Central to the Western Region. Prahl will co-lead the region with Ed Griffiths, senior vice president and regional underwriting leader. Prior to joining QBE, Prahl held positions at The Hartford and Chubb.
