On Wednesday, the Iroquois Group announced that it is expanding into Louisiana.

The announcement followed months of meetings with the region’s member agencies, carriers and trade association officials.

“After much research I am confident that Iroquois can add significant value to a select group of Louisiana agencies for their benefit and that of our Carrier-Partners,” remarked Iroquois South Inc. regional vice president David D. Ward.

The insurance group will provide its member agencies “opportunities to enhance their revenue and to work, where appropriate, with approximately 20 national, regional, and specialty carriers in the state,” the company said in a statement.

Cameron Cardinal will serve as Iroquois’ Regional Manager for the state. He formerly held marketing positions with Encompass, Zurich and CAN.

“Cameron has an excellent reputation in the state” Ward said, “and he will be a great asset to Iroquois and our members.”

Following the expansion, Louisiana will become the seventh southeastern state in the Iroquois South region.

The Iroquois Group counts over 2,200 member agencies across 41 states.
