The Progressive Corporation on Monday approved an amendment to the company’s regulations expanding the size of its board of directors from 12 to 13 members. Progressive has announced the election of Devin Johnson to fill the new opening.
The board also determined that Johnson is an independent director under applicable New York Stock Exchange rules. Johnson’s term of office will expire at Progressive’s annual shareholders’ meeting in 2021.
Johnson is the chief operating officer of The SpringHill Company, a global consumer and entertainment company. He previously served as president of digital media company UNINTERRUPTED. He has also served as senior vice president of digital media for Tribune Media and has held several digital executive roles at NBCUniversal.
