In a move to expand its North American operations, Davies has acquired Premier Claims Management, LLC (PCM), a service provider concentrating on professional and general liability claims.
These expansion include coverage areas such as environmental, crime, fiduciary, directors and officers (D&O) liability, employment practices, medical malpractice, construction defects, cybersecurity, and others.
PCM also delivers a variety of programs tailored for London Market insurers, addressing errors and omissions claims for professionals such as realtors, appraisers, actuaries, and attorneys. This range of services complements and expands Davies’ existing offerings, providing added value for its clients.
Marilyn Bonetati, the founder of PCM, along with more than 40 of her colleagues—including 16 coverage attorneys—will join Davies’ North American claims team, which is headed by Don Lederer, CEO of Claims Solutions.
Bonetati has more than two decades of experience as coverage counsel and defense counsel for insurers and insureds.
"By combining Davies’ and PCM, clients will benefit from a personalized service while gaining access to Davies’ wide-ranging global claims capabilities and technology investments,” said Bonetati.
Over the past five years, Davies has invested in the North America region, offering claims services across the property & casualty, life & health, transportation, energy, and marine sectors. Its services include third-party administration and loss-adjusting solutions across the U.S. and parts of Canada.
Matt Button, CEO of Davies North America, highlighted the growing demand from the London market for consolidated partnerships in North America.
"The addition of the PCM team and their specialist expertise will significantly enhance our client proposition, as we continue to strengthen our claims service offering in North America and globally,” said Button.
Davies serves over 1,700 clients across insurance, financial services, and other regulated industries, and operates in ten countries, including the U.S. and the UK.
