PEMCO Mutual Insurance has created a new role – vice-president of product and underwriting – and has reorganized its leadership in the related departments as a result.
Dawn Lee (pictured), who most recently served as PEMCO’s director of product, has been appointed to the position of vice-president of product and underwriting. In this new role, she will continue to lead the development and evolution of the company’s product offerings while also overseeing underwriting operations and strategy.
Lee joined PEMCO in 2017. Prior to this, she helped develop and execute business plans for Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance. At Liberty Mutual, she served as director of state operations for Washington – in that role she managed $680 million worth of personal lines written premium.
In accordance with Lee’s new responsibilities, PEMCO has changed the role of Harris Clarke, vice-president of operations, to include oversight of the company’s claims department. He will hand off responsibility for the underwriting and product departments to Lee, a release said.
Clarke has been part of PEMCO’s executive team since 2014. Before taking on his current role of vice-president of claims, customer service and sales, he held a number of executive-level positions administering sales, service, underwriting, and product for PEMCO.
