Patriot Growth Insurance Services has announced a new partnership with Ladd Gardner Aviation Insurance (LGA), an aviation-focused insurance agency headquartered in Addison, Texas.
Patriot Growth says that the move brings additional capabilities to its property and casualty (P&C) portfolio through LGA’s specialization in aviation risk.
Founded in 2007 by Ladd Gardner, the agency provides insurance solutions for aircraft owners, operators, and aviation-related businesses. Its offerings include coverage for various aircraft types, airport liability, and hangar insurance.
LGA is also known for its ability to arrange insurance for complex and diverse fleets, including private jets, helicopters, and historic military aircraft.
Under the leadership of Angie Harris, who brings 20 years of experience in aviation insurance and prior roles at Boeing and the Federal Aviation Administration, the agency has continued to expand its presence in the aviation sector.
Patriot Growth’s last major deal was in September 2024, when it partnered with Texas-based Prospera Risk Advisors, strengthening Patriot’s presence and resources in the South-Central region via Prospera’s nine offices across the state.
Steve Carroll (pictured above), chief acquisition officer at Patriot, said the addition of LGA strengthens Patriot’s P&C offering by adding aviation expertise.
Aviation insurance in the US has exhibited steady growth and resilience through 2024 and into 2025, despite facing notable claims and evolving risk dynamics.
In 2024, the global aviation insurance market was valued at approximately $4.62 billion, with North America accounting for over 40% of this total, equating to about $1.85 billion. Projections indicate that the global market will reach $4.73 billion in 2025, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.5%.
Allianz Commercial notes that collision and crash incidents remain the predominant causes of aviation insurance claims, representing 63% of the total claim value and 33% by number. These encompass not only major accidents but also events like hard landings, bird strikes, and runway incidents.
