Brown & Brown of Oregon, LLC—subsidiary of Brown & Brown, Inc.—announced on Feb. 8 that it had acquired Bend-based Lumbermens Insurance and Risk Solutions. The acquisition not only leverages Brown & Brown’s position in the region, but also allows it to extend its services to even more consumers.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Lumbermens Insurance is a personal lines and commercial insurance service provider with annual revenues of about $2 million. The company has been in business in Oregon for over a century.

Following its acquisition, Lumbermens will continue to operate from its current location as a profit center of Brown & Brown. Lumbermens will be able to benefit from Brown & Brown’s capabilities, as well as the broker’s extensive insurance product lineup.
