A new method for inducting insurance company hires is available this week from the National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research.

The group announced Tuesday it plans to launch seven online courses for personnel new to the insurance industry, with the aim to educate hires and refresh longtime employees on the foundational concepts of working in insurance.

Four courses are already available, including:

  • Introduction to Property & Casualty Insurance
  • Introduction to Commercial Property Insurance
  • Introduction to Commercial Casualty Insurance
  • Introduction to Personal Auto Insurance

The National Alliance also plans to roll out three more courses during the first quarter of 2015. They include:

  • Introduction to Personal Residential Insurance
  • Introduction to Commercial Miscellaneous Exposures and Coverages
  • Introduction to Personal Miscellaneous Exposures and Coverages

Each course is designed to take two to three hours, and is said to “prepare the learner for continuing education in a designation program.”

All courses are available online with a registration fee of $25 and can be found online at www.TheNationalAlliance.com under “Self-Paced Online Program Options.”

They do not offer any state continuing education credit and do not serve as update options for any of the designation programs.
