The National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB), the insurance industry’s association dedicated to predicting, preventing and prosecuting insurance crime, has announced the appointment of Chris Stroisch as vice president of public affairs and communications.
Stroisch has nearly 20 years of experience in public relations, marketing and communications, more than a decade of which involved leading public relations and communications teams in the insurance industry.
“Chris has a wealth of experience within the industry, and because of that background he’s seen and dealt firsthand with many of the issues impacting insurers and policyholders,” said David Glawe, president and CEO of NICB. “His role within the communications function is a critically important part of our organization, and I am confident that NICB and our members will benefit greatly from his unique perspective and insights.”
Prior to joining NICB, Stroisch served as director of external communications and corporate responsibility at CNA Insurance. He has also served as public relations manager at Country Financial and director of public relations and writing services at Horace Mann Insurance.
Currently, Stroisch is vice president on the board of directors for the Insurance Public Relations Council and a member of the Insurance Information Institute’s Communications Committee. He also serves on the American Property Casualty Insurance Association’s Public Affairs Task Force.
“It’s an honor to join the preeminent insurance fraud-fighting organization focused on protecting both insurers and consumers,” Stroisch said. “NICB has an impressive communications program, and the opportunity to lead its continued growth is appealing.”
