NFP has announced its acquisition of Sean Barrett Bloodstock Insurances Ltd, trading as Barrett Private Insurances.
John Barrett (pictured above), director of Sean Barrett Bloodstock Insurances Ltd, will join NFP as a managing director. His focus will be on growing the company's Private Client Group in Ireland and the UK, which provides customized risk solutions for high-net-worth individuals and families.
Barrett Private Insurances has operated in the Irish market for 37 years. The brokerage leverages its experience and knowledge of the home, collections, travel, auto, yachts, and bloodstock insurance markets to address the complex risk management needs of its private clients.
“We've established a strong presence in the Irish market through organic growth and acquisition, and the expertise of the team at Sean Barrett Bloodstock Insurances will undoubtedly strengthen it further," said JP Allcock, group managing director for NFP in Europe.
He added that the team's commitment to excellent service with a personalized touch aligns with NFP's approach, and they look forward to expanding their private client offerings in Ireland and the UK.
Barrett expressed enthusiasm about joining NFP.
“With extensive global resources, a strong management team and an excellent talent base, NFP will enable us to make significant contributions that ultimately grow the business. This is a great opportunity for us to bring additional value to the clients we serve,” he said.
In other recent developments, Lenox Advisors, Inc, an affiliate of NFP, an Aon company, has announced the acquisition of Martin/Wight & Company, LLC (M&W), a Maryland-based insurance and financial services firm specializing in solutions for medical professionals.
M&W, based in the Baltimore region, primarily serves physicians, dentists, and medical centers. The firm specializes in executive benefits solutions and traditional offerings, including wealth management, financial planning, disability insurance, voluntary benefits, ancillary benefits, individual and group life insurance, and long-term care.
