Mosaic Insurance has relocated its New York City office to a site across from Manhattan’s Grand Central Terminal.
The new office is located on the 42nd floor of One Grand Central Place at 60 East 42nd Street
In a news release, the global specialty insurer said it moved to a larger space in order to support its “growing business and future ambitions in the US market.”
The same release noted that the Manhattan office will serve as a hub for a growing team of specialists representing five of the company’s seven business lines, namely environmental liability, political violence, political risk, cyber, and transactional liability.
With its relocation, Mosaic joins other global corporations housed inside One Grand Central Place. The 55-story tower is one of the few buildings in Manhattan with its own ZIP code, 10165. It is also iconic for the large bronze statue of Abraham Lincoln in its lobby.
“Our new home in this landmark building signals a clear intent and commitment to significantly accelerate growth in the US market,” said Mosaic co-founder and co-CEO Mark Wheeler (pictured left). “It is an exciting step that will manifest in greater opportunities for our people, a broader specialty product offering, and enhanced market access for our syndicated capital partners, brokers, and clients.”
“We’re proud to grow Mosaic’s physical presence in New York, and excited to join the Grand Central District’s corporate community,” added Mitch Blaser (pictured right), co-founder and co-CEO. “It is an exciting step that will manifest in greater opportunities for our people, a broader specialty product offering, and enhanced market access for our syndicated capital partners, brokers, and clients.”
Mosaic began its US operations in October 2021. Aside from New York, the firm also maintains an office in Chicago and has additional teams in Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, Massachusetts, and Virginia.
