Indianapolis-based risk management and employee benefits agency MJ Insurance has announced that it is rebranding as The MJ Companies.

In an emailed news release, the agency said the rebrand points to its “commitment to growth, innovation, and exceptional client service.”

CEO Michael H. Bill explained further, stating that the move is a way to “embrace evolution.”

“MJ Insurance was founded with a clear mission: to empower organizations, making them more efficient, effective, and smarter,” he said. “This mission has driven us for nearly six decades, and it remains our commitment. However, as we look to the future, we recognize that to stay true to our purpose, we must embrace evolution.”

Under its new brand identity, The MJ Companies will maintain its legacy as a data-driven and specialized consulting firm. It will also expand its offerings in response to the changing needs of its clientele, with a portfolio that now includes retirement planning, leave and absence management, as well as compensation and total rewards consulting.

Commenting on the rebrand, president and COO Jon Loftin highlighted the significance of the new ‘MJ Companies’ name.

“Our new name signifies our commitment to a more diverse spectrum of services that align with our clients’ evolving needs,” said Loftin. “This change reflects our dedication to being at the forefront of innovation and value-added solutions for our clients.”

The MJ Companies is one of the largest privately held agencies in America. Founded in 1964, it currently serves a client base encompassing local, regional, and national companies in over 50 countries and in every US state.

Last year, the agency bolstered its presence in Colorado by appointing a leader based in the state. Amy Weeks Bittner, whose experience includes serving on the boards of local organizations, was named vice president of business and community development.
