The Millers Mutual Insurance board of directors has named Jonah Mull president and CEO effective January 01. Mull is currently the company’s executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Mull will succeed Scott Orndorff, who is retiring after 42 years in the industry. Orndorff will serve as vice chairman of the board and chief advisor to the president and CEO through July 31 in order to ensure a smooth transition. The Millers board has also appointed Jeffrey Pratt, the current vice president and chief financial officer, to executive vice president and chief financial officer effective January 01.
“The past five years at Millers have been the most exciting of my career,” Mull said. “The leadership team has built a very solid foundation on which to run under Scott Orndorff’s leadership. I am confident in the team here at Millers and look forward to us growing and innovating this great company.”
One of Mull’s main goals as the new president and CEO will be executing the company’s 2021-2023 strategic plan, which he was instrumental in creating.
“Mull has been a significant contributor to the development and successful execution of Millers’ strategic efforts during his tenure with the company,” said Scott Newkam, board chairman. “The board looks forward to working with him on the execution of the company’s forward strategy.”
Mull has more than 20 years of industry experience. He joined Millers in 2014 as an underwriting leader. In 2017, he was named vice president of operations. In 2019, the board of directors named Mull executive vice president and chief operating officer.
