Midwest Insurance Agency Alliance (MIAA) hosted its annual leadership conference on May 19. The virtual conference was attended by nearly 200 agency principals and insurance company partners, and offered workshops, panel discussions, a trade show, entertainment, an awards ceremony, and a keynote address from Joan Woodward, executive vice president of public policy at Travelers and president of the Travelers Institute.
The event included a panel discussion with MIAA member agency principals on the topic of increasing agency profitability and sessions addressing the return to the workplace in the wake of COVID-19 and maximizing the use of agency management systems.
“While our members are looking forward to getting together in person, we received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback from this event,” said Doug Meacham, president and COO of MIAA. “The community boards and discussion groups were incredibly popular, and we plan to use some of the topics from those forums in future events.”
