MetLife has released its 2023 Sustainability Report, underscoring its commitment to aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals most pertinent to its operations.
The report highlights MetLife’s strategic initiatives and progress toward its sustainability objectives, the company said in a news release.
Key achievements detailed in the 2023 Sustainability Report include:
“Our purpose inspires our people and drives long-term value for all our stakeholders,” said Michel Khalaf, president and CEO of MetLife. “We have been a responsible business and a source of stability for more than 156 years, and the actions we take today reflect our ability to consistently deliver for all our stakeholders for years to come.”
Earlier this month, MetLife announced that its subsidiary, Metropolitan Tower Life Insurance Company, had partnered with 3M to provide annuity benefits to approximately 23,000 retirees and beneficiaries of the 3M Employee Retirement Income Plan.
Earlier this year, the company announced the appointment of Michelleta Razon as head of data enablement.
