Metlife has announced that a new leader will be taking the corner office in its US headquarters. According to Reuters, the company’s chief risk officer Ramy Tadros will succeed Michel Khalaf as president of the insurer’s US business. Khalaf will meanwhile become Metlife’s new CEO later in 2019, replacing Steven Kandarian.
Tadros joined the company in September 2017, and will leave his position in the hands of Marlene Debel, who is currently the executive vice president and head of Retirement and Income Solutions (RIS).
Before the game of musical chairs is over, Graham Cox, executive vice president of Global Risk Management (GRM), will take Debel’s place, Metlife said in a statement.
All appointments will be effective from May 01.
