Insurance broker and risk advisor Marsh has announced the appointment of Patrick Hennessy (pictured) as Northeast Zone leader, effective immediately.
In this role, Hennessy will oversee Marsh’s eight offices in the Northeast region of the US, with a focus on client initiatives, new business, and talent development. He will report to Michelle Sartain, president of Marsh US.
“Pat is a proven leader who is committed to providing excellent client service and fostering the growth and development of colleagues,” Sartain said in an emailed news release. “Under his leadership, our Northeast Zone will be well positioned to support clients in this rapidly changing and often volatile risk landscape.”
Hennessy has 30 years of brokerage, consulting, and management experience. He has been with Marsh since 1993, with his most recent role being Northeast Zone risk management leader.
Commenting on his appointment, Hennessy said: “I look forward to leading this talented group of colleagues as we seek to deliver the insights and solutions that enable our clients to thrive with confidence.”
Hennessy takes over the role of Northeast Zone leader from Chris Roak, who transitions to the newly established position of US strategy and execution leader.
Last week, Marsh announced the appointment of Andy Stirk as US chief growth officer. Stirk assumes the role after a three-year tenure as chief commercial officer at Ascot Group.
Other recent updates from Marsh include the launch of ReadyCell, a simplified risk financing product that enables organizations to open their own insurance company.
