Marsh has announced several senior leadership appointments within its global placement practice.
Christopher Lang (pictured left) joins the company as digital leader of Marsh Specialty and Global Placement, effective November 1.
Lang will report to Pat Donnelly, president of Marsh Specialty and Global Placement. He will lead Marsh's digital global insurance placement strategy to drive client experience and operational efficiency.
The initiative will establish a proprietary platform creating connections between Marsh brokers and underwriters for data sharing and risk trading. Lang has 30 years of experience under his belt at Marsh, where he has held various leadership roles in placement. Most recently, he was assigned as global placement leader US and Canada. He will remain based in New York.
Meanwhile, two veterans from Marsh will replace Lang as co-global placement leaders in the US and Canada region starting November 1. Daniel Aronson (pictured center), US casualty practice leader, and Michael Rouse (pictured right), who leads the US property practice group, are the two named to the position.
Together, Aronson and Rouse will be tasked with all aspects of global placement strategy for the US and Canada at Marsh. Working closely with key global and regional stakeholders, the two leaders will continue in their practice leadership roles and will be based in New York, reporting directly to John Donnelly, global head of placement.
“Chris, Dan, and Mike are highly regarded executives with deep relationships within the insurance marketplace. Together, they will create a smoother, more streamlined experience for our clients, while unlocking the best opportunities and results for them as they respond to traditional and emerging risks,” John Donnelly shared.
