Major broker acquires Nevada-based wholesaler

The acquisition target is a managing general agent and program manager that offers admitted and E&S property/casualty products across the state

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. announced its acquisition of KDC Associates, LLC on April 19, boosting its brokerage services in the Nevada area.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Post-acquisition, KDC Associates will continue to operate in its current location.

KDC Associates, based in Las Vegas, is a managing general agent and program manager that provides admitted and excess and surplus, property/casualty and other specialty insurance products and services. The company was founded in 2008, and has served numerous independent retail insurance broker clients across the state.

Notably, KDC Associates is an expert in insurance products for automobiles, as well as for the manufacturing, commercial construction, wholesale, hotels and property owner industries.

This is Arthur J. Gallagher’s ninth acquisition this year. The company’s latest buyouts—according to an article on zacks.com—have been almost exclusively within the brokerage segment. The article also noted that the brokerages recently acquired were related to either retail employee benefits or wholesale.
