Lockton has expanded its team in Sacramento with a new appointment.
David Ring has been named vice president of Sacramento, where he will be responsible for client consulting and business development for employee benefits and commercial insurance, a release said.
“David is a collaborative problem solver,” said Lockton Sacramento executive vice-president Alex Michon. “Our clients will value his methodical approach to solving complex commercial insurance and employee benefits issues.”
According to a release, Ring has experience advising clients in the banking, financial services, manufacturing and agriculture sector, particularly those based in California’s Central Valley. He is also focused on structuring sustainable property-casualty and employee benefits programs. He has been with Woodruff-Sawyer & Co. for the past six years.
Previously, he led his own golf industry business for 24 years. He also worked for RJR Nabisco. Ring has a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University, where he used to play running back for the Aztec football team. He was also a PGA golf professional.
