Lloyd’s of London will close its underwriting room every day except for Wednesday, the insurance market said Monday. The decision came after London was put under tighter tier 4 COVID-19 restrictions over the weekend.
Lloyd’s also kept the underwriting room open on Wednesdays only during a national lockdown last month.

The underwriting floor was closed for nearly six months from the outset of the pandemic in March, but insurers preparing for the January renewals season are eager to carry out face-to-face business, Reuters reported.
