Sublime or absurd, you can decide – but troubled star and notorious car crasher Lindsay Lohan is pitching car insurance on TV.
TMZ has learned that Lohan is shooting a commercial for Esurance, a subsidiary of
Allstate, which gives you online or telephonic rate quotes.
“We're told Lindsay is shooting the commercial in Long Beach (Calif.) and we're guessing it might just run during the Super Bowl,” states the TMZ exclusive.
Lohan is notorious for a string of automobile accident claims stretching back over several years, as she bounced in and out of court dates and rehab stays.
Back in 2007 she drove up a median and was arrested for DUI. Later that year, she was again arrested, following a wild ride on the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) where she allegedly took several people hostage.
She was again charged with DUI.
In 2010, she hit a baby stroller in West Hollywood, Calif.
In 2012, Lohan hit a car outside of a club, and later that year she slammed into an 18 wheeler on PCH, claiming her brakes had failed.
Even later that year, she struck a man outside the Dream hotel in New York City, N.Y.
It is not yet clear if Lohan herself is considered insurable by the online insurance powerhouse.
