The Liberty Company Insurance Brokers (Liberty) has announced the promotion of Adam Baillie, its chief strategy officer, to become chief operating officer.
In a news release, the brokerage said Baillie has played a critical role in Liberty’s expansion over the past decade. Baillie was selected after a “thorough” evaluation, the news release said.
“This promotion to COO for Adam is well deserved, as he has consistently shown his love and passion for this organization over many years,” said Bill Johnson, CEO, chairman, and founder of Liberty. “This, in addition to his boundless energy, sharp mind and wonderful leadership qualities, puts us in a great position to continue to succeed as we move forward on our journey of growth here at Liberty.”
Liberty described Baillie as an “internal powerhouse with a wealth of experience in delivering operational excellence.” He has been a key contributor to the company since joining the firm in 2013 as a producer and, later, managing partner. Over the last 10 years, Baillie has been a key player in the establishment and management of Liberty’s business development unit, data and business intelligence units, and Liberty Underwriting Services, the news release said.
In his new role, Baillie will oversee Liberty’s four business segments as well as its administrative and operational functions.
