Liberty Company Insurance Brokers (LCIB) has appointed Roy Caswell (pictured) as the company’s newest executive vice-president, director of information technology.
Caswell has been a part of the insurance industry since 1992; he initially worked at American National Insurance before running his own insurance agency. He has held various IT leadership positions at a number of different insurance firms including Hull & Company, Marsh, and IOA.
“More than ever before, technology is a critical component in the success of insurance brokerages in today’s competitive landscape,” said LCIB CEO Jerry Pickett in a statement.
Pickett commented that Caswell possessed “deep understanding” of the opportunities in IT; this convinced LCIB that he was the right person to lead the company’s technology expansion.
Caswell’s appointment comes after LCIB appointed a new chief financial officer earlier this month, in the form of Megvarran Lalsa.
