King Insurance Partners, one of the fastest-growing full-service insurance brokerage firms in the US, has expanded its Florida footprint with the acquisition of First Florida Underwriters (FFU).
Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Orange Park, Florida, FFU is a full-service commercial and personal lines agency that serves clients across Northeast Florida.
“After meeting with the King Insurance team, we knew we found the right partner for us,” said Mike Hart, owner of FFU. “When we considered partnering with a larger firm, King was the right choice. This partnership will allow our team to compete at a higher level, and we are excited about our future with King.”

FFU is one of a string of Florida acquisitions by King. In November, the company acquired Florida-based Hunt Insurance Group. In June 2022, it acquired Wurzel Agency, a property-casualty agency located in Oviedo, Fla., and Gainesville-based Ellett Insurance.
