Insurance Office of America (IOA) has appointed Robert J. Peters to the newly created role of senior vice president of insurance operations.

Peters will be based in IOA’s headquarters in Longwood, FL. In his new role, he will help drive operational standardization and efficiency across all of IOA’s locations, a release said.

He has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, having held positions such as SVP of enterprise operations, SVP of policy processing, and chief operations officer. Peters earned his MBA from Plymouth State University and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of New Hampshire. He also holds the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.

"The IOA team is grateful to have a leader of Bob’s credibility become part of the IOA family. We are excited about the leadership he will bring to the table as he works closely with key sales and operations personnel to further streamline and scale the IOA operating model,” said IOA executive vice president Jon Thurman.

Thurman remarked that the range of Peters’ capabilities will allow IOA to continue its enterprise efforts to improve overall customer experience.
