Integrity Marketing Group announced a record-breaking donation drive for children’s hospitals and charity organizations.
For the fourth iteration of its annual toy drive, the company has collected more than 35,000 toys, stuffed animals, books and games to be donated to children this holiday, exceeding its target of 30,000 toys. Last year, the company collected 26,000 toys.
The toys will be donated to various organizations, including Children’s Medical Center Dallas, Children’s Miracle Network, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Toys for Tots and other pediatric hospitals throughout the US.
The company’s annual toy drive was influenced by the personal experience of its co-founder and chief executive, Bryan Adams. His son, then nine years old, received a nerf gun while receiving treatment at Children’s Medical Center Dallas, which the company said brightened the child’s spirits. Adams was inspired to host a toy drive with an initial goal of 500 toys. That first year, Integrity said it was able to collect 3,000 toys. The company has collected and donated 80,000 toys to date.
“Serving others and giving back are cherished pillars of our company culture, and the Integrity family has again exceeded expectations to serve more children than ever this year,” Adams said. “As a parent who experienced firsthand the impact these donations can make during an uncertain or challenging time, I’m humbled and deeply grateful for how the Integrity family lives our core values by showing compassion for children in the communities we serve.”
The toys donated are expected to help improve the children’s experience by brightening their spirits and providing comfort and help alleviate fear during illness or medical procedures, the company said. Medical providers can also use the toys to highlight milestones and celebrate birthdays.
Paulette Mulry, vice president of development at Children’s Medical Center Foundation, expressed her gratitude to the company for the donations. “During our patients’ stays, it is crucial to create and celebrate small moments of normalcy in what can otherwise be a challenging time,” she said.
Steve Young, Integrity’s board chairman, added that the Toy Drive is the company’s opportunity to magnify the company’s impact and show its commitment to making a difference to society.
“Collectively, the caring and inspiring actions of the Integrity community will bring joy to thousands of families this year, supporting them through difficult situations so they can make the most of what life brings,” he said.
