Inszone Insurance Services has acquired Boelzner & Associates Insurance Services Inc, a California-based agency focused on health, life, and disability insurance.
The deal aims to enhance Inszone’s footprint in the benefits space, particularly in the Medicare and group health insurance markets.
Boelzner & Associates was founded in 1993 by Paul Boelzner and currently serves more than 850 Medicare clients and over 400 individual policyholders. The firm has concentrated exclusively on benefits coverage for both individuals and employer-sponsored plans.
The agency’s services also include small and large group health insurance, dental and vision coverage, disability policies, and life insurance, as well as a variety of Medicare-related products such as Advantage HMOs and PPOs, Medicare Supplements, and Part D prescription plans.
Boelzner & Associates’ clients will continue working with their existing contacts, with added access to Inszone’s national resources, expanded carrier network, and digital service platforms.
Josi Boelzner (pictured above) the agency’s owner, said the decision to merge followed a longstanding professional relationship with John Henry, another agency principal who had previously joined Inszone.
“When John’s agency joined Inszone, he introduced me to the team. I knew immediately that it would be perfect, I didn’t even consider another company,” Boelzner said. “Partnering with Inszone ensures my clients are in good hands and can continue to receive the same level of service they’ve always known.”
Chris Walters, CEO of Inszone Insurance Services, described Boelzner & Associates as a strong addition to the company's benefits division.
“Their expertise in Medicare and health insurance, combined with long-standing client relationships, makes them an ideal fit for our growing benefits division,” Walters said.
Inszone has significantly expanded its national presence through a consistent strategy of mergers and acquisitions. The company has completed over 160 transactions in recent years, contributing to its growth across multiple states and insurance markets.
In April, the brokerage also acquired Munson Insurance Agency, located in Arkansas City, Kansas, marking its second acquisition in the state.
