Inszone Insurance Services has announced its acquisition of MG Insurance Services, a firm known for its personal lines and contractor insurance offerings.
MG Insurance Services was founded in May 1988 by Michael Gondoli, initially focusing on non-standard auto insurance for clients with difficult driving records. At the time, Gondoli served as VP of underwriting for another company, and he started the agency while his wife, Audrey Gondoli (pictured above), worked as an escrow manager in San Francisco.
Audrey joined the agency part-time in 1989, and, by 1991, she obtained her insurance license and became a full-time partner in the business.
In 2002, Audrey took over leadership of MG Insurance Services, expanding its focus to include more standard personal lines. Inszone highlighted that she secured key partnerships with well-known carriers and used her experience in escrow to grow the agency’s commercial business, especially in contractor insurance, which became a defining feature of the agency.
After years of serving clients, Audrey began considering retirement and sought a partner to ensure her clients would continue to receive quality service. "I wanted to find a partner who could take care of my clients and continue the legacy I’ve built," she said.
Audrey said that she first learned about Inszone Insurance Services when one of her clients asked about a carrier MG Insurance did not offer. She discovered that Inszone had recently acquired another local agency and reached out to Brett Brown from Inszone to discuss her options. After ongoing conversations, Audrey decided that Inszone would be the right fit.
"We are excited to welcome MG Insurance to Inszone," said Chris Walters, CEO of Inszone Insurance Services. Walters added that Inszone plans to maintain the high level of service MG Insurance clients are accustomed to, now with additional resources and support.
Inszone noted that this latest acquisition enhances the company’s foothold in the contractor insurance market and broadens its reach in the San Francisco Bay Area. MG Insurance clients are expected to benefit from Inszone’s extensive carrier network and commitment to offering comprehensive coverage and support.
The deal for MG Insurance Services is just the latest in a string of moves for the national brokerage. Earlier this month, Inszone announced that it had acquired Schmoekel Insurance Agency, a non-standard insurance agency, for an undisclosed sum.
