Insurance moves: Gallagher Bassett, Munich Re Specialty, EPIC, Point32Health and Alliant Insurance

Several major insurance and risk management firms have named new executives to key leadership roles.

Gallagher Bassett appoints CFO

Gallagher Bassett has named Patty McCall (pictured above, left) as its new chief financial officer. McCall has been with the organization for nine years as a key leader within its finance team. She brings more than two decades of industry experience, including roles at ESIS and consulting positions with Arthur Andersen and Unisys.

New CUO at Munich Re Specialty – North America

Kevin Johnson (pictured above, right) has been appointed chief underwriting officer for Munich Re Specialty – North America. Johnson previously served as president, insurance programs at the company. The move aligns with Munich Re’s ongoing strategy to strengthen its specialty underwriting operations across the region.

EPIC names president of Northeast Region

EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants has appointed Karen Beldy Torborg as president of its Northeast Region. She succeeds Len Scioscia, who becomes chairman of the region.

Torborg has more than 30 years of experience, including senior roles at Marsh and WTW. In her new position, she will lead regional operations, with a focus on growth, market expansion, and leadership development.

Patrick Gilligan to lead Point32Health as CEO

Point32Health, parent company of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Tufts Health Plan, has appointed Patrick Gilligan as chief executive officer, effective June 16, 2025.

Gilligan most recently served as a partner at CWH Advisors. His background includes senior leadership positions at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, CVS Health, Indigo Insurance Services, and Zaffre Investments.

Mary Campbell joins Alliant Insurance Services

Alliant Insurance Services has hired Mary Campbell as vice president in its employee benefits group.

Based in the Pacific Northwest, Campbell brings nearly three decades of experience in alternative funding strategies for large, multi-state employers. She previously worked with a national brokerage firm and is known for her strategic approach to employee benefits consulting.
