Several companies in the insurance and finance industries have announced executive appointments.
To lead its next phase of operations, Emerald Bay Risk Solutions has appointed Tracey Sharis (pictured) as chief executive officer, effective March 20.
With more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, Sharis previously held leadership positions at Liberty Mutual Insurance, Ironshore Insurance, and Aon Benfield.
"As MGAs continue to capture market share and underwriting complexity increases, we are excited for the opportunity to scale the business to meet the evolving needs of both our program and capacity partners,” said Sharis.
Meanwhile, Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company has named Rick Klenk as its next chief financial officer (CFO), effective March 17, 2025. His promotion follows the planned departure of Dave Raszeja.
In this role, Klenk will oversee financial, risk, and product management teams.
Having started his career at Penn Mutual as an actuary, Klenk brings over 35 years of experience, including leadership positions at Nationwide and Lincoln Financial Group.
Similarly, Jewelers Mutual Group has appointed Chris Anderson as its new CFO and treasurer. Prior to this role, he was a managing principal at Baker Tilly US.
In another leadership shift, Ryan Alternative Risk has promoted Matt Havey to president, with the appointment taking effect immediately.
Havey joined Ryan Specialty in April 2024 as senior vice president of underwriting.
"We have a lot of ground to cover, but I am energized each day by the direction of Ryan Alternative Risk, the innovative approach of our team, and the values of the organization,” said Havey.
