Penn Mutual Life and BTIS announced key promotions reflecting their ongoing strategy and growth expansion plans.
Penn Mutual Life Insurance has promoted Rick Klenk to chief financial officer, effective March 7.
In his new role, Klenk will oversee the company’s financial strategy and lead its financial, risk and product management teams. He previously served as Penn Mutual’s chief financial officer for life insurance and annuities.
With more than 35 years of experience in risk management, actuarial services and financial management, Klenk steps into the role as the company continues its focus on long-term financial stability and policyholder benefits.
Klenk succeeds Dave Raszeja, a 22-year Penn Mutual veteran who will assist with the transition through June 30. Raszeja previously served as the company’s chief risk officer before becoming CFO in 2021.
Builders & Tradesmen’s Insurance Services, Inc. (BTIS), an Amynta Group company, has announced the promotion of Jessica Keefe to senior vice president, head of operations. With over 20 years of experience in compliance, operations, and strategic growth, Keefe has played a key role in BTIS’s expansion and operational efficiency since joining the company in 2010.
Keefe has held multiple leadership roles at BTIS, including accounting operations manager, surety department program manager, senior manager and vice president. Her expertise in compliance and process optimization has helped the company navigate risk, integrate new business lines and implement industry best practices.
In her new role, Keefe will oversee all operational functions, focusing on workflow optimization, technological innovation, and team development. Her leadership has been widely recognized both internally and within the commercial insurance industry, where she is known for her strategic vision and problem-solving approach.
