Several firms in the insurance and legal industries have announced key leadership and talent appointments.
Alliant Insurance Services has appointed Tammy Lane (pictured) as senior vice president within its employee benefits group.
Based in Florida, Lane brings over 20 years of experience in the health and welfare benefits sector, working with clients across the country to develop benefits strategies tailored to evolving workforce demands and broader business objectives.
Lane’s background spans multiple sectors, including healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, nonprofit, and faith-based organizations. Her areas of focus include mergers and acquisitions due diligence, alternative plan design, health trust management, and financial modeling.
Before joining Alliant, Lane served as area vice president at a global insurance brokerage and employee benefits consulting firm. She holds several professional credentials, including the Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, the Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential, and a Veterans at Work Certificate from SHRM. Lane studied at Brigham Young University and Southern Maine University.
In May, Alliant also expanded its employee benefits group with the appointment of Faby Jauregui as vice president. Based in San Francisco, she brings nearly 20 years of experience in employee benefits and healthcare consulting.
Bermuda-based global specialty insurer Ascot Group Limited has announced the appointment of Rosalind Brewer, Martin Flanagan, and Robert Sewell to its board of directors, pending regulatory approval.
Brewer currently serves as interim president of Spelman College and sits on the board of United Airlines Holdings, Inc. She was previously CEO of Walgreens Boots Alliance, where she led over 450,000 employees globally and oversaw multiple acquisitions. Her executive leadership history also includes roles at Starbucks, Walmart, and Kimberly-Clark.
Flanagan is chairman of Engage Ventures, LLC and formerly served as president and CEO of Invesco. He guided Invesco through its acquisition of Oppenheimer Funds and held leadership positions within industry associations such as the Investment Company Institute. He is a chartered financial analyst and certified public accountant.
Sewell currently chairs the board of Ascot Underwriting Limited, a UK-based subsidiary. He joined the AUL board in July 2023 and took on the chairman role in June 2024. His prior roles include CFO of Pension Insurance Corporation and audit committee chair at AIG Life Limited. Sewell is expected to continue in his role at AUL while serving on the Ascot Group board.
Global law firm Kennedys announced the addition of four lateral partners across its US offices: Jeremy Boeder and Brad Moyer in the Midwest, and Nicholas Jajko and Andre Webb in Philadelphia.
Boeder focuses on professional liability and disciplinary matters, representing a range of licensed professionals in malpractice defense and ethics cases. He also advises on fee disputes, firm transitions, and liability claims involving construction and transportation.
Moyer has more than 30 years of experience in insurance coverage and environmental litigation. He works with carriers and corporate clients on disputes involving toxic torts, PFAS, construction defects, and class actions related to opioids, COVID-19, and other high-profile exposures.
Jajko specializes in data privacy and cybersecurity law, guiding clients through regulatory compliance, breach response, and tech-related contractual risk. His practice also includes advising on information security programs and privacy investigations.
Webb focuses on high-exposure litigation involving premises liability, liquor liability, and transportation matters. He represents both insured and self-insured entities and is active in professional defense organizations, including the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel.
The firm has added more than 40 attorneys in the US during the first half of the year, including 28 associates and nine special counsel. A few months ago, Kennedys expanded its senior ranks, promoting 21 lawyers to partner in its annual promotion round.
