Several insurance and financial services firms have announced leadership appointments aimed at strengthening their operations and expanding their market presence.

Munich Re Specialty-North America (MRS-NA) has appointed Tyler Coleman (pictured above, left) as Head of Public Entity Risk Solutions.

Coleman previously led the healthcare practice in Excess & Surplus Lines at MRS-NA for five years. He succeeded Lauren Tredinnick, who transitioned to chief risk officer of Munich Re America Services in late 2024.

Meanwhile, Farmers Insurance has named Erik Toohey as head of agency owner operations. In this role, Toohey will oversee the exclusive agent distribution channel, focusing on modernizing processes and supporting territory results.

Toohey will collaborate with regional presidents to implement territory strategies through centralized services, including contract administration, agent compensation, agency development, sales campaigns, and training programs. He joins Farmers from Gallagher, where he was corporate vice president of US Finance.

Meanwhile, Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company has appointed Brandon Mann (pictured above, center) as managing principal within its affiliated distribution organization, 1847Financial. Mann, who has more than 20 years of industry experience, will lead growth initiatives in Utah and Arizona. He previously served as president of Ameritas Investment Company and Ameritas Advisory Services.

Paul Rodriguez (pictured above, on the right) succeeds Patrick Pribyl as national surety practice leader at Lockton. Pribyl, who will continue engaging with clients and carrier partners while advising Rodriguez, was appointed chairman of the national surety practice.

Rodriguez joined the company in 2022 as national surety growth leader, focusing on expanding the firm’s presence and strengthening partnerships. He previously spent 18 years with Aon in various leadership roles, most recently as a regional managing director.
