Amid continued expansion and leadership shifts across insurance, Gallagher and Preferred Employers Insurance have announced key executive appointments aimed at strengthening private equity and distribution capabilities.
Gallagher has appointed Hunter Davis (pictured above left) as executive vice president and senior managing director of its private equity and M&A practice. In his new role, Davis will oversee property/casualty and employee benefits operations across the firm's US brokerage teams.
He will also focus on delivering integrated insurance and risk management solutions to Gallagher’s private equity and corporate clients involved in mergers and acquisitions.
Davis joins Gallagher with more than 20 years of experience in the insurance brokerage and investment banking sectors. He previously served as chief revenue officer and co-head of M&A and transaction solutions at Aon.
Davis will be based in Rolling Meadows, Ill. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and business administration from the University of Kansas.
Earlier this year, Gallagher also expanded its construction casualty practice with the appointment of Gabriella Bradley as head of the division.
Meanwhile, Preferred Employers Insurance, a Berkley company, has named Steve Feemster (pictured above, right) as its new sales and distribution manager for Southern California. Feemster brings over 30 years of experience in underwriting and insurance sales.
He will focus on broker engagement in San Diego and neighboring counties, marking a return to a market where he has previously operated.
Feemster has spent the last decade working on the general agency side of Preferred’s business, gaining familiarity with the company’s offerings and market strategy. In his new position, he is expected to support the company’s workers’ compensation insurance distribution and strengthen its regional presence.
Preferred’s last major appointment was in July last year, when it tapped Stephanie Graham as the firm’s vice president of claims.
