Several major insurance firms have announced leadership appointments aimed at strengthening their expertise in underwriting, surety, claims management, and employee benefits. Marsh, BenefitMall, and Embroker have each named new executives to oversee critical business areas as they respond to evolving market needs. 

New US surety and construction claims leaders at Marsh 

Marsh, a global insurance broker and risk advisor under Marsh McLennan, has appointed Fran Curran (pictured left) as US surety leader and Todd Schweitzer (pictured center) as US construction claims leader.  

Curran, who is based in Philadelphia, has been with Marsh for 24 years and most recently served as the Southeast surety practice leader. In his new role, he will lead a team of 100 surety specialists nationwide, focusing on strategies to enhance credit capacity and manage financial risks for clients across industries. 

Schweitzer, based in San Diego, joined Marsh three years ago as a senior claims advocate specializing in complex construction claims. With nearly 40 years of experience, he will now lead Marsh’s US construction claims team, overseeing claim management and resolution. 

BenefitMall expands presence in Florida with key hire 

BenefitMall has appointed Jim Scheib (pictured right) as benefits sales executive for North Florida, covering the Florida Panhandle, Jacksonville and surrounding areas. The appointment is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its broker support in the region. 

Scheib brings 35 years of experience in employee benefits and group insurance, with expertise in group disability, major medical, dental, and vision insurance. 

Scheib will report to market director Jennifer Drake. 

Embroker appoints vice president of underwriting 

Stephen Easley has been appointed as vice president of underwriting, bringing 25 years of experience in specialty and professional lines underwriting. 

Easley has held leadership roles at AIG, CAN and USLI, where he built and led underwriting teams, developed specialty products and helped shaped coverage for management liability, tech E&O and cyber. 

Euclid Transactional announces global promotions 

Global promotions have been announced at Euclid Transactional, a managing general agent specialising in transactional insurance underwriting and claims handling. 

In North America, Corey Connelly, Hasnaa El Rhermoul and Sean Kim have been promoted to managing director, with Kim Heessels assuming the role of managing director, head of secondaries. Meanwhile, Alice Ho has been appointed managing director, head of APAC. 

In EMEA, Dave Luckett and Crystal Png have been promoted to chief underwriting officer for the EEA and the UK & London Markets, respectively. Lucy Darbey has been promoted to chief distribution officer, EMEA and APAC, while Daniel Moesinger has been promoted to senior vice president, head of DACH. 

On the claims team, Brittany Zimmer has been promoted to deputy general counsel and managing director of claims. Rose Kenerson and Nick Morales have been appointed associate general counsel and managing director of claims. 

These promotions are among 47 title and responsibility increases, which the company stated reflect its focus on retaining talent and delivering client service.
